Volunteering at the MOR Distribution Center
The main way we help local at-risk youth and children in foster care is through our distribution center located in Columbia, SC. This is where we sort, store, pack and distribute all donations from the community for the children we are serving. We provide each referred child a “Care Kit” filled with two weeks’ worth of clothing, shoes, new socks & underwear, pajamas, and toiletries as well as school supplies, stuffed animals, and books.

- When: Monday-Friday between 9:30am-3:30pm. We schedule one volunteer group per day in a 2-hour time slot. Therefore, volunteering would be 9:30a-11:30a, 10:00a-12:00p, or 1:30p-3:30p, depending on the day.

MOR partners with many agencies and organizations who work together to provide helpful resources for children at critical times in their lives. We receive referrals from The Department of Social Services, title 1 schools, counselors, social workers, hospitals, other non-profits, foster parents, and churches. MOR does not take referrals from biological parents.
If you are working with at-risk youth/children in foster care and see that there is a need for basic necessities, please email [email protected] to request a referral form. We would love to provide that child with a Care Kit.
