About Midlands Orphan Relief
Midlands Orphan Relief (MOR), an expansion of Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) in North Charleston, SC, is a non-profit organization that provides goods and services to children who have been abused or neglected. We work directly with other non-profits, schools, foster parents, and government agencies to identify the individual needs of these and other children in severe situations. We intervene at critical junctures in the lives of these children, with products and services that provide a strong, positive impact.
Since 2006, Lowcountry Orphan Relief has clothed over 45,000 children. In 2022, LOR expanded into greater Columbia area by opening Midlands Orphan Relief.
Community volunteers at our Distribution Center collect and shelve donations. They lovingly fill Care Kits of necessary items for children from area shelters, foster care and those removed from the custody of their parents. The Care Kits include 2 weeks of clothing, toiletries, shoes, books, stuffed animals, and school supplies and we aim to fill all orders within 48 hours of the request.

DISCLAIMER: Orders placed to our Distribution Center are for children who are at-risk or suffering from abuse, abandonment and/or neglect. We WILL NOT process an order directly from the biological parent of a child. All orders must come from an agency representative who can legitimize either the child’s risk for abuse or a founded case of abuse. As a representative of the child, you are responsible for ensuring the child meets these requirements, as we are relying upon your professional opinion.
